When I started blogging, I actually didn’t even know what a blog was. It was a word I’d heard mentioned here and there. I googled the term (or maybe I yahoo’ed it, if I didn’t know what a blog was, I may not have been up to speed on the googling yet either).
I found a world that was beyond me. The 2 first blogs I followed diligently were The Sartorialist for its amazing pictures of real people wearing really cool clothes. The other one was Chrissy, a funny lady who Shoulda Been a Stripper. One was a strict niche blog about fashion. The other a quirky blog about a woman’s personal life. Chrissy inspired me to start my own blog. She was – in my view – a total rockstar.
I thought I’d never get followers, commenters or awards like she had. Yet. I gathered my own following and readers. And I am thankful to you – my readers. I never thought I’d find somebody who’d want to read me. Shit, I especially never in a million years thought I would get awards for my blogging… Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
